The Traffic Signal II Certification signifies that the holder possesses formal training and hands-on experience that provide a solid foundation in traffic signal technology. The IMSA Traffic Signal II certification demonstrates the technician's extensive training in evaluating traffic signal control systems, on-site repairs, and maintenance techniques and tools. The following topics are covered in the exam: programming and replacement, signal maintenance, traffic signal operations and equipment standards, signal phasing, timing and detection, document preparation, detection, testing of equipment, and troubleshooting.
